At-Home Spa Regime 2015

Every girl/woman needs pampering session every once in a while. It’s a necessity. Doesn’t matter if it’s at a spa or a session at home, we must always take care of our skin, hair… and just about anything from head to toe!

However, I know a lot of us don’t have the luxury and time to go to the spa every time we feel like we need to go for a facial or when we feel like our hair is getting dry. That’s when these products come into the picture! Let’s face it, paying the spa every month is not the kind of luxury all of us can afford to do. I know I can’t. I have a lot more priorities on my list to pay and can only go to spa when I really have the extra money to pamper myself.

And I am here to share with you the products that you can use to pamper yourself at home without burning the extra holes in your wallet!

#1 Garnier Sakura White Series

If you have been following me for sometime, you would know how sensitive my skin is. Let’s be honest, my skin is bipolar. Sometimes it’s oily and sometimes it’s as dry as the desert. I’m not exaggerating, guys! Seriously, the dryness of my skin can go to the extent that it starts to peel and look gross.

Therefore I must be extra cautious when I choose my skin care products. After years of trying different products, I found Cetaphil to suit me the most. So I didn’t dare to change my moisturizer to a different one. However, I am currently using the Garnier’s cleanser and so far I like it.

Some cleansers (well, most actually) always give my sensitive skin the sting feeling where I feel like I have clips pulling my face real hard. But this cleanser surprisingly does not give me that feeling. It’s pretty smooth on my face and what I like the most about this cleanser is that it gets foamy really fast. Also, I love the fact that the scent doesn’t bother me like most cleansers do.

#2 Always 21 Aloe Vera Soothing & Refresh

Well, you guys know about my obsession towards face mists. I have a very sensitive skin (like I haven't empasize that enough). So I always have to have a face mist in my bag everywhere I go to keep the moisture and clean. So you can say this is my new best friend I have in my bag!

#3 Glam Glow Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment

I have yet to try this product but being a part of the beauty community on YouTube, I have heard so much about this brand. And I saw this brand everywhere when I was in London last month. When I said everywhere, I really mean everywhere!

The website said this THIRSTYMUD™ hydrates, moisturizes, restores, replenishes and calms the skin. You can check out this product here.

Okay I know masks are essentials when it comes to our own DIY session at home. So, here are two recommendations for you to try!

#4 Natural Republic Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask Sheet

#5 Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask

Honestly, I like both masks but if I would have to choose the best, I would pick the Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask because I think it makes my face fresher and not too heavy on my face. My face actually felt a little lighter and fresh after using this mask.

Of course we can’t forget about our hair! Doesn’t matter if you are wearing hijabs or not, hair is an important asset women have. We have to take care of our hair so it will stay healthy always. I know we are spoilt for choices when it comes to shampoos at the drugstores or even at Sephora. But this Matrix Biolage for frizzy hair is awesome! If you are not familiar with chemicals in shampoos, then it’s time for you to familiarize yourself because you don’t want to jeopardize your scalp to be exposed to any strong chemicals. I have always been so careful when it come to choosing my shampoo. I will always search for shampoos that don’t have Paraben in it. Paraben is a chemical most shampoos have but it’s totally not good for your scalp as it can damage your scalp. This Matrix Biolage shampoo doesn’t have paraben and it definitely help tamed my frizzy mane!

Our hands are most exposed to dirts and bacterias as we do everything with our hands. We touch everything with our hands and sometimes when we do chores at home, our hands will be exposed to all kinds of germs and will make our skin dry.

This is the reason I always have lotion with me everywhere I go. I have one on my vanity, one on my bedside table for before I go to sleep, on my bathroom counter and just about everywhere! I always keep different lotions at places which I think will be appropriate for me to put on lotion. However, the lotion I keep in my bag varies. I always change my hand cream/lotion depending on what scent I want to have that day. But guess what guys? I have this L'occitane Ar Lé Sien Ne Hand Cream in my bag since the day I got it. I usually choose my lotions and creams based on the scents, but this one, I like it because of what it does to my skin. Not that the scent is bad, it's not. But it's not something I'm usually fond of. I love it, regardless! It really does give my skin the moisture I crave for and the fact that it's not oily and soaks into my skin really fast is definitely a plus!

Do let me know what is your essentials for your spa regime at home, maybe I can try on some of your recommendations for my next spa session at home!
