Beauty Blender

I don't usually use sponges when I put on my foundation because sponges can make my face appears to be really cake-y. So I opt for my own (clean) bare hands to blend out the foundation or sometimes, when I'm not too lazy, I use my flat foundation brush. Both work well on my face but when I found the beauty blender, I was so excited!! If you don't know what a beauty blender is, it's a weird shaped sponge. But no, it doesn't work like the normal sponges, it blends out the foundation so good, like you're not wearing anything on your face!
I knew beauty blender from Youtube gurus and I thought I couldn't find it here in Malaysia. But I bought mine at Sasa and it costs only RM 12-RM 15. I can't remember the exact price but it's somewhere between that which is so inexpensive. So, if you want to try the beauty blender, go and buy yourself one! It works well with my face, so I don't really know if you'll like it but for me, I prefer the beauty blender than the flat foundation brush.

If you have bought the beauty blender and don't know how to use it, it's actually so simple. First you need to make sure your face is clean and dry of course. And then, you have to get the beauty blender wet. Like, fully 100% wet. Don't be scared to just put the beauty blender in the running water from the faucet. After you have fully drenched the beauty blender, you squeeze it to let out excess water and just let the beauty blender damp. Not too wet, not too dry. When it's damp, you can put your foundation on your face and blend it out with the damp beauty blender. It's so simple yet the result is ravishing!

The real famous original beauty blender is in pink and white, definitely not this one. The one in your blog is Sonia Kashuk's.

If I'm not mistaken you can only get the real beauty blender in Malaysia at serendipity.com.my and it cost you around RM77 per sponge. It works wonders for me!

- A stranger that stumbled upon your blog as I was googling about the beauty blender-

Najwa : Yes, I was aware that mine isn't the original beauty blender but it works pretty good for me. So i guess that's okay because I don't want to spend so much on a sponge! But I heard the real beauty blender works super well though :) And I didn't know you can get it at the website you mentioned. Will definitely check the website out, thanks :)

ShanShan Lareyna : Wow sponges can be really expensive! I don't know about you, but I like brushes better so I'd rather invest on a good brush than a good sponge. How about you? :)

Shannon : Hey Shannon! So nice of you to drop by my blog :) So you already bought the sponge? I'm currently using the Coastal Scents' buffing brush for foundation and it works great. But if you have used the beauty blender you bought, what's your recommendation? Is the beauty blender better than your MAC brushes? Because if it's better, then maybe I should consider investing on one too :)

Hey Anonymous! Yesss just a sponge that costs a bomb. Lol, not exactly a bomb but not everyone can afford that kind of luxury just for a sponge. Hehe Thank you for your input! :D
