Eczema?

Hey guys. You know I'll be MIA when it's finals week right? I have one more paper to go but I just think this cannot wait. I'm freaking out!!!

Sometimes around a month ago I had these rashes on my face but they weren't anything severe. So I left them alone...

Well, not exactly.
I scratched them because hello?!! They're really really really really itchy okay. I just couldn't help myself
 :(

Now,  almost two months later, my skin has not recovered. AT ALL! In fact, the rashes are worse!! They don't even look like rashes anymore. They look like... I don't know. They just look disgusting. So I went to the doctor last week and he gave me pills and a cream, saying it's fungus. I was like, fungus?? ON MY SKIN? That sounds really gross! So I've been so disciplined with the meds and all but guess what? These patches on my forehead just grew bigger and they're growing on different places too. Honestly, I couldn't care less about my skin at the moment because I was busy studying  for my papers. But this morning, Mom looked at me intensely and said, "get ready, we're going to a skin specialist. NOW!" I guess my skin freaked her out?
I wanted to post some pictures of my skin but I'm afraid you guys might be too grossed out when you see how bad I look. So, seriously, you should thank me for not posting them.

We went to a skin specialist, Dr Ranjit Skin Clinic and had the doctor to check on my disgusting face on a freaking magnifying glass! I didn't know I could blush until he did that. Haha it was really awkward! I get so insecure when people look at me with all these things on my face, let alone on a magnifying glass! After checking everything (even other parts of my body just to make sure), he said I have eczema. Which is pretty weird because I never had/don't have asthma and no one in my family ever had eczema or asthma. I was actually kind of relieved when he said it was only eczema because it could have been worse. But another part of me just felt sad because I don't mind having eczema on other parts of my body. Legs are fine. Hands are fine. But face?? That's like the first thing people see when they look at you. *hides face*

But oh well, the doctor prescribed me to pills (what else is new?), day and night creams and a cleanser. When I was on my way out the door, I turned to the doctor and asked with a serious and concerned face,

"But I can still wear make up right, doctor?"
He just laughed and said, "not a problem".

Ahhh, music to my ears!

Lol I'm guessing the specialists in Canada are very expensive? Haha. You should get the cleanser for Dr Ranjit whenever you're back here in Malaysia. My meds that day consist of a cleanser, a night and a day creams and pills for day and night and all of that only costed around RM150. Which is pretty inexpensive considering the effectiveness of the meds. The cleanser is really good too! :D

Oh no! You should definitely go to a skin specialist right away, Anonymous! Doesn't have to be Ranjit but I highly recommend him as he's really good at skin stuff. Hope your skin will get better soon! :)
