I'm facing life crisis??

Hello guys.

As you all know I haven't been a really good blogger or vlogger lately. And by lately I mean, this past one year. I'm sorry. I truly am. I really love being on the Internet it's just that I don't have time for it these days. Usually when I was about to blog something on my computer, an email comes in.

Ahhhh, email from a colleague.

Or the developer.

Or a client.

I need to always reply these emails as soon as I can. So by the time I finished replying all these emails, I will either be sleepy or I completely forgot my main purpose when I turned on my computer.  The fact that I'm dealing with people in London doesn't help either as the time difference means they start working as I am about to go to bed.

So yes. That's my life now.

I spend most of my time stressing and worrying about closing deals, agreements, contracts and everything else except writing a blog post or making a video. And honestly? I hate it. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate my job. I just hate how it drives me away from what I love doing the most; being on the Internet, typing away and talking in front of the camera. I want to be able to have the time to do my job and be on the Internet. But my job requires me to work on weekends as well, so tough luck, man.

I've been stressing over this for a little over a while now and I have not voice this out because I feel bad for complaining. I don't want to complain. I don't want to be the whiny brat because it's not even the job at all, I don't think. It's just my feelings. And I'm bad at expressing my feelings. Like, literally really bad at it. So right now I'm trying to figure this out. I need to find myself. I need to build my career based on my passion, not based on the money. Because I don't think you will ever be successful if you do something for the money instead of your love and compassion towards the things you do.

So please dear readers/viewers, please bear with me while I figure my life out and how am I going around this. But know this; I won't give up blogging and Youtube. Never.

If you have any comforting words for me or any advises, just shoot them to me. Email me, tweet me, comment below. Anything. I will be sure to read them.

Oh! And thank you to those who have been tweeting, commenting on my pictures on Instagram, emailing me asking me to blog and film videos again. I miss you guys too!!! I will start again. Pretty soon, InsyaAllah

Okay fun's time over. Back to work now.

Skirting Round Latest Skirt Trends!

SPONSORED POST

“The skirt is one of women’s favorite fashion items that can be found in a plethora of styles, colors, patterns and materials. Skirts are a gift to women as it allows us to freely express and celebrate our femininity with confidence and style!”

Yes, I definitely agree with that statement.

You can wear the most basic skirt there is and still look feminine and stylish without putting so much effort. Skirts can instantly turn your image 360 degrees compared to just your old plain jeans. Imagine wearing a plain white top with a plain black pants or a plain white top with a plain black skirt. Which one would you say is a better choice? Everyone has their own preferences, but if you ask me, I would choose the latter any day. And I know a lot of you who are reading this would choose the skirt too. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a skater skirt, a maxi skirt, a midi skirt or even a body con skirt, a skirt is an essential in every girls’ wardrobe. I’m saying this because skirts can be worn anywhere, everywhere and for almost every occasion – to a date with loved one, parties and even to the office. So if you can’t already tell, skirts are crucial!

I am a huge fan of skirts that I actually wear skirts almost everyday to work. Since I started my internship a little over a month ago, I think I can actually count with my fingers on how many times I actually wore a pants/trousers. The reason is because I think skirts are more stylish and looks more formal & appropriate for the office compared to trousers. I know that might not make sense to some of you but at least that’s from my point of view.

Since I started working, I have been buying midi skirts a lot. Pencil skirts or just flow-y ones, I just love midi skirts. To me midi skirts are the classiest of all types of skirts because they are not too revealing but they look sexy nonetheless. Midi skirts are the trend right now. These skirts fall somewhere between your knees and your ankles and offer an extremely demure and ladylike look to any outfit! The key to looking great in a midi skirt is by pairing it with heels and a simple top. As the skirt is mid-length, it is best to wear them with heels or wedges to elongate your legs. Pair your midi skirt with a fitted top and tuck it into your skirt and you’re good to go!

Skirts are a great look for the office. Corporate women today have to juggle between wanting to have the assertive quality that men possess, while not losing their feminine charm. Pencil skirts are a favorite option among working women because they allow you to look sharp yet flaunt your womanly figure. Having a polished look shows that you are meticulous in the way you look, which inadvertently reflects on your attitude on your work.

A woman can never have enough skirts in her closet! So if you are a fan of skirts like me (or even if you’re not, you can still try a new look and start donning them), go check out Zalora Malaysia! They offer such a wide range of skirts. Start shopping now and enjoy the benefits of convenient shopping from home or from work (shh... don’t tell!). With new designs available every week, you can be assured that your outfits are on the cutting edge of fashion.

Trust me, you’ll be spoiled with choices with Zalora Malaysia. I actually am typing this away on my keyboard with “Zalora Malaysia” tab right next to this page on my Safari. So, to make it easier for you, you don’t have to type the URL or search it on Google. Here, I’ll leave their link so you can start browsing with just a click!

So start clicking, ladies! ;)

REVIEW : EOS Lip Balm & Where To Buy??

If you are a make up addict or crazy about the beauty community on YouTube like me, then you probably know about this little egg-like thing called the EOS lip balm. EOS lip balms have gone viral everywhere among us beauty addicts. However, this precious thing is not available on the racks in my country, Malaysia. We don’t have Target, we don’t have Walmart and we certainly do not have Ulta. Imagine how we Malaysians feel when all we see on YouTube are EOS Lip balms but we couldn’t get our hands on them!

I remember going into this random Asian store and saw a shelf full with different colors of EOS lip balms. I really thought I hit Jack Pot that time! It was RM15.00 each and of course I had to buy two! I once saw it at only $1 at Target when I was in LA a couple of years back, which is RM3.00 plus if I convert it but since I can’t just easily get them here, RM15.00 sounds cheap and affordable. I used them for a couple of months and stopped using them because I think their smells changed after a while and they also melt so easily. I couldn’t bring them in my bag because then they melt due to the Malaysia’s weather which usually will go up to 33 degrees on normal days. Not just that, the skin of the egg-thing (I really don’t know what to call it! Haha) also started to peel off after awhile. It was really weird and I started to doubt why people rave about this thing so much when the quality is really poor.

Last week I received an email from a wonderful girl, Mia Sharifuddin. She first started the email telling me how proud she is that there’s actually a Malaysian who makes beauty videos on YouTube. I was really flattered and pleased with all her kind words! I mean I’m sure there are a lot more Malaysian Beauty YouTubers out there but the fact that she found me and approached me in the best way ever was what made me happy. We started talking and told me she actually is studying in LA and owns an online store selling EOS lip balms. She sells them for RM30.00 each including postage and they come straight from Los Angeles! She also sent me one of the lip balms after that! How sweet is she???

When I received the parcel, I tore the wrappers up and was eager to see what color and flavor she sent me. Truthfully, I used to hate mint and couldn’t stand the taste of it but this year, I have been drinking mint tea a lot and have grown to like mint, especially peppermint. So when I opened the package from Mia, I found a baby blue EOS lip balm and tried it on for the first time. Whaddayaknow??! It’s MINT!!! I’ve been wearing it every single day and night since I received it. It’s so moisturizing!

After receiving the EOS from Mia, I now know that the two EOS(es?) that I purchased at the Asian store a year ago are not the real thing. They are not authentic because seriously, the feel of the EOS when I touch it is totally different; let alone the taste of it when I apply it on my lips. So be careful when you purchase your EOS lip balms, girls! I know there are a lot of online stores on Instagram or Facebook that sell EOS lip balm and claim that they ship the stuff from the States. Make sure they have reliable proves that they really ship those products straight from The States. No wonder people rave about this product so much. It really is amazing! It smoothens my lips and stays on for so long too! When I go to bed at night, I will apply it and I still can taste the Mint the next day. That’s how strong this lip balm is! It definitely is worth it if you ask me.

If you want to differentiate whether your EOS lip balm is authentic or not, here are some tips for you :

1.You will realize a change on the smell.
 2. The shape of lip balm itself will eventually turn more "rounded" than "pointy" after a while.
3. The one Mia sent me didn't melt like the two I purchased.
4. The egg-thing (or the case of the lip balm) has some kind of "velvet" feeling to it when you touch it but the one I purchased feels just like hard plastic.

If you are contemplating to buy EOS lip balms but are not sure where to buy and which online store you should trust, then fret not! Mia Sharifuddin can ship them to you! Just check out her Online store’s Instagram here.

Make sure to let Mia know that I sent you! :D

TEDxYouth KL 2013

I love going to motivational talks or self development workshops or anything relatively close to that. If you don't know what TED is, it's basically a non profit organization that organizes conferences that gather inspirational speakers to spread their ideas and experiences towards success. In life, in business, entertainment, technology and just about anything. I love the idea of TED because it definitely inspires and motivates people around the world, especially youths. Like me. I found TED talks to be very useful and entertaining because it doesn't just focus on one thing only. It's not always boring and all "business". Although I'm not implying that business is a boring thing but you know what I mean. TED talks include people from different backgrounds, successful in their own ways. Starting up their businesses, failed and didn't give up, people who came out with an innovation to improve lives, people who fight for the environment or animals, even people in the entertainment industry, who work through days and nights just to produce something for the society to enjoy during their leisure time. You know, all these people are very inspiring. So to witness their talks right in front of my own eyes was one of the best moments in my life. I always watch TED talks on my phone (you can download the TED app in the AppStore!) while having my breakfast, every day. I don't know about you, but other than exercising and eating healthy breakfast in the morning, I find that watching inspirational videos and reading motivational books before starting my day can really make the rest of my day better. I am more enthusiastic and motivated to go through the day and do productive activities throughout the day when I started the day with a combination of exercising, good breakfast and talks or videos in the morning. You should try that too, if you want to change the way you look at things in your daily lives. I assure you, you'll be more positive than ever! Include that as your New Year's resolution if you want. After all, I once read that a simple action can change everything.

Back to TED.

On November 16th 2013, my brother and I attended the TEDxYouth in KL. My brother sponsored me the ticket because he knows how badly I wanted to go. The tickets were only RM50.00, but to have someone pay for me is way better. Haha. It was held at the Penthouse @ The Icon near Jalan Ampang. My brother and I played safe by taking the train to the venue because we didn't want to get stuck in the crazy traffic.

We had our breakfast after registering at this little cafe just opposite The Icon called Danielle's. They have awesome American Brownies is all I can say because that was the only thing I had. But the cafe's ambiance is really nice. Sort of like a chill atmosphere.

Before we were allowed to go in the hall for the conference to start, my brother and I went around and met new people. It was just so amazing of how these people are so successful and I like talking to them because they all have this positive energy that I can feel surrounding the whole place.

Oh and I also met one of my juniors from high school and he was a volunteer for TEDxYouth! How cool is that?!

Some of the speakers were Razif Hashim (an Actorpreneur), Azim Hulaimi (Co-founder of Mira Digital & Visual Effect Artist, was apart of the making of Life of Pi), JinnyBoy (Youtuber & Radio DJ), Gajen Nad ( A standup comedian), Dr. Clarence Tan (Ambassador of Singularity University), Dr. Lovisa (A Marine Biologist), Yit Ming (Co-Founder of Soft Space), Christian BPalencia (A Barefoot Musician) and my most favourite speakers that day, Joyce (Founder of Otak Otak) and Li Kheng Phng (A business Extraordinaire). All the speakers gave amazing speeches, I must say. Truly inspiring!

I know this is really late, but I want to thank my brother again for sponsoring me the ticket and going there with me. I'm really lucky to have a brother who always support me in everything I do and share the same visions and interests as me. I love you, Abang! *blowskisses*
