Drug Store + Elianto + Hair Supplies Haul

This is my first time doing a haul and trust me, I never thought of doing this kind of posts. But it was requested and I thought.. why not? This is also my first requested post and if any of you guys would like to request a post about anything (i.e : beauty, fashion, how to style a piece of clothing, tutorials on how to do a smokey eyes make up, what's in my bag etc.), just comment me in this post, email me (refer CONTACT ME at the top bar for my email) or tweet me ( link is on the side bar) and tell me what kind of post would you like to request and I will try my best to do it for you. I thought of doing requested posts because my blog recently hit 12, 000 hits and it means so much to me. To those who claimed they love reading my blog and love the way I write, thank you so much! Thank you, both my followers and silent readers! So I thought of doing posts requested by you because this blog would be nothing without you guys! So much love for all of you! <3

If in any case, any of you don't know what a haul post is, it's actually a post of anything that bloggers bought from anywhere. The purpose of haul posts is to provide guides for readers on what to buy and if the product is not good, readers can save their money rather than trying them.

Okay, now let's get started on the haul!

I've been interested in cosmetics since I first started working part time at Benefit. I love trying new products and everything. To me, it doesn't matter whether its high end or drug store's, if the products are good, then they're good. One of my favourite drug store cosmetics since forever is Maybelline. Their products aren't as pricey as high ends but the quality is as good.

Since I started working at my Dad's office, I haven't had the time to go out and do a little shopping anywhere. So I settled with the drug store located not far from my house. I went crazy there! I don't know if it was because I haven't been shopping for cosmetics for so long or that I go crazy every time I shop for cosmetics. I'm pretty sure it's the latter though!

I'm going to start with beauty products. I went to Majolica Majorca's section at Watson's and spent almost an hour there. I bought the Majex lip treatment balm.

This lip balm is so great! It moisturises my lips and my lips feels so airy and cool whenever I apply this. It is because it has a hint of mint inside. I'm not a fan of mints but it feels so fresh to have it on my lips all the time! I totally recommend this lip treatment balm to those who have dry lips and needs moisturising. I can't remember how much is it, but it's around RM 20 and below. It's such a good steal because it works so well and you don't even have to use much to apply. Definitely a great deal!

Next, I got their blusher although I have a lot of blushers already because the packaging is just too cute to resist! I got the blusher in the shade 'Strawberry Macaron', isn't the name just so cute?? I was so excited to get this blusher because it's very adorable and it comes with a cute plush fluffy powder puff, which is a plus. Look at it, how can I not buy it?

I didn't want to use it at first because I love it so much, I didn't want it to be used! But why would I buy it if I don't want to use it right? So, I tried it once. I don't know if it was because my skin is too dark for that shade or because it's not pigmented enough, but when I applied this blusher on my cheeks, I can't see anything except for just a very light pink patch. When I said very, I mean VERY light. I'm going to try to apply it again soon and see if it's any good the second time. If it turns out to be nice the second time, I'm definitely going to do a review of that blusher in another post. This blusher is around RM 40 plus. I'm starting to think that the packaging contributes a whole lot in the price. I don't know.. maybe.

The third product I got from Majolica Majorca is their lip gloss. They have two kind of lip glosses, one is Rouge Majex and another one is called Honey Plump lip gloss. I got the Rouge Majex lip gloss in the shade PK211.

I've got to say, this lip gloss is one of my favourites now! The colour is just so pretty and the greatest thing about it is that it's not sticky at all. I've tried several lip glosses, some of them being high ends, but most of them are so sticky that I can't stand to have it on my lips. My hair will always get in the way of sticky lip glosses. I assure you, Majolica Majorca's Rouge Majex lip gloss is great. Even better than some of high end ones too. It will cost you about RM 20 which is so great comparing to other brands. I will totally buy more in other shades after this!

The last thing I got from Majolica Majorca is the Eyes Reset Gel. I love love love this product because it's so easy to use. I know I did a post on the best make up remover, but this Eyes Reset Gel is my new found eyes make up remover. The name says it all, it is precisely made to remove eye make ups, not the whole face. I always had problems to remove my mascara off my eye lashes and with this Eye Reset Gel from Majolica Majorca, I don't have to take long to remove my mascara. To use, you just pour some pea size amount on your index finger and apply on your eye lid, eye lash and bottom of eye, kind of like blend them all together and then just wipe it off your eyes with a cotton or a tissue. So far, I only have to apply and wipe it off once every time I use it. Means that I don't have to apply the gel a lot of times on my eyes to remove all the make up off my eyes. This brilliant product costs about RM 27, I think. It's between RM 25 to RM 30, I can't remember. It's such a good investment because the outcome is as good as the packaging!

Other than Majolica Majorca, I also went to see Rimmel's section. The first thing that caught my eyes are the lipsticks. They come in the prettiest tubes!

They have black (Lasting Finish Lipsticks), purple (Moisture Renew Lipsticks) and pink tubes (the new Colour Show Off Lipsticks), I tried them and fell in love with one particular shade. The shade is in 'Have Fun!' and it comes in the pink tube, which I prefer rather than the black or purple ones because it's prettier. I definitely have to stop buying products based on their packaging! Hehe. I had pink lip glosses before but never had a pink lipstick. This is my first time trying a pink lipstick and I love it! It doesn't dry out my lips and I like the fact that this shade makes my lips look more natural. This lipstick is only RM 19 which is so reasonable considering it's quality.

The photo doesn't show the real colour. It's actually pinkish.

My favourite part of this lipstick is the little Rimmel crown on top of the tube. So cute!

Also from Rimmel, a bronze/brown like eye shadow.

It's the Rimmel Colour Rush Mono Eye Shadow in shade 060 Bronzed. This is another Rimmel product that I love! It stays so long on my eyes and not to mention, very pigmented. I can't remember the exact price but it's definitely below RM 20. I will absolutely buy more colours after this!

Moving on to the next brand, Revlon. I bought two things from Revlon. First, Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara. Again, I love it! I wasn't a big fan of mascara but after having this, I turn out to wear mascara every day! This mascara is better than Maybelline's Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara. Simply because Revlon's Grow Luscious isn't hard to remove and it doesn't harden my lashes after applying, like the Maybelline's. It's not just good, Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara only costs about RM 30 plus! A must have!

Another product that I got from Revlon is their ColorBurst Lip Gloss in the shade 'Sunset Peach'. This lip gloss is another one that isn't sticky like most of lip glosses do. I've been wearing this a whole lot because it stays on long and the colour is just a neutral colour, where I can match with anything I wear. This is also around RM 30, absolutely a steal!

That's all the beauty products I got from the drug store. I also found hair products which I couldn't resist buying. First, the Loreal Smooth-Intense Anti Frizz Serum. I'm using the Loreal Smooth Intense Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Treatment, so far they work wonderfully on my hair. So, trying this serum is a must.

I apply this serum on my damp hair after I shampoo and conditioned. I must say I'm not disappointed with it at all. It's actually a very good serum and I love the fact that it smells really nice. It's around RM 30- RM 35, I can't remember the exact price but it's a really good product, just like the shampoo and conditioner.

I also got the Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Leave in Hair Cream. Honestly, I bought this because the packaging is nice (again!). I know it looks just like any other hair cream but to me, it looks so pretty, with the colour and all.. I think I might have an obsession towards pretty packagings! Hehe. However, the product isn't as good the appearance. It dries out my hair a little and it makes it frizzy on humid days. I still use it after I straighten my hair though, just because it smells nice. I can't remember the price but I think it's around RM 10. I don't recommend this product to anyone who has frizzy hair like me.

I've been searching high and low for a heat protection hair product. When I found a pink bottle with 'heat protection' written on it, I immediately grabbed it off the shelf. Although this Lucido-l product said that it's for curling, I use it whenever I straighten my hair too. I don't regret buying this product at all!

I love it very much! I spray it on my hair and brush it to distribute the spray all over, then I wait a few seconds to let the spray dry and I went on straightening/curling my hair like usual. My hair stays straight/curly longer than it usually does and it doesn't get frizzy. Totally loving this product! It doesn't cost much either. RM 17 for something so good, so great.. what more could you ask for in a product? If you're the type that straightens or curl your hair most days, Lucido-l heat protection spray is a must have for you!

I bought an Elianto brush last year which I'm not fond of because the brush is so hard on my face, I think it might scratch my face a little. Since then, I've never been to Elianto because I thought their products are not good. The other day, Mom and I passed by Elianto and we saw they were having sale. So knowing us, of course we went in to see the products, just for the fun of it. We turned out to walk out with a few Elianto products. We couldn't resist, they were having mad sale! I got the Natural Hues Shadow Kit for only RM 8 and the Liquid Foundation with SPF15 for only RM 10!! How crazy is that? I haven't tried the shadow kit on my eyes but I tried to dab my ring finger on it and they were so pigmented, I couldn't believe it was from Elianto! I wore the liquid foundation today to work and so far it's great. It feels light on my face, which I love.

I also got a liquid foundation brush from Elianto for RM 14. Surprisingly, the brush is so smooth! I confronted the beauty consultant at Elianto saying the products weren't as good as these. She said that they had improved on their products, that's why the products are different and better. I was happy to hear that because Elianto has the cheapest prices for cosmetics, so if they had improvised their products, that means I can buy more from Elianto!

Last on the haul list this time is a hair appliance. A straightener. I have tried so many straighteners before, be it branded ones, non-branded ones, super cheap ones and also expensive ones. I settled with a non-branded one, from China because it makes my hair straighter than the others and been using it for the last 5 years. I went to a mall near my house last week and found a China branded straightener in pink!

Of course, I bought it straight away, without thinking about the outcome, whether it's good or bad, seeing it's only RM 24. At home, I tried it and oh my god, I love it!! It doesn't make my hair look stiff. Although it took me longer than usual to straighten my hair using it because it's smaller than my previous one and because my hair is so thick. I don't mind because it's pink and pretty, and it matches my hair dryer!

That's the end of my first haul post. Hope you guys like it and I hope this post help you a little, if not a lot, and guide you on what to buy and what not to buy. If you would like me to continue doing hauls, do tell me or if there's any post you want to request, just comment below, tweet or email me!

Awesome post about make up :) I really like Elianto. but too bad that they have to renew their contract here in the Philippines, so all of their stores are closed :( Try their natural mineral fixing powder. The sales lady told me that I'd be looking for it after I try it - and she's right. :( Now I've been searching for their fixing powder :( I hope Elianto will be back here in the Ph soon. :)

Really? They don't have Elianto there any more? Well, you always can come here to Malaysia and shop for Elianto. They're everywhere! :D And sure, will try to find the time to buy their fixing powder that you recommended. Thanks for the recommendation anyway! :)

Hey do you still like the heat protection product from Lucido? I bought the blue one that's designed for blow drying but it doesn't work for me :(

So I've been searching for a good heat protection, which is hard to find in Malaysia. Was wondering if you can recommend one? :)

Hey there Azze :)

I do use it once in a while but not as much as I did before because I'm using the Chi Iron Guard and Tresemme heat protectant currently. Both are really good but sadly they're not available here in Malaysia :( I know that heat protectants are really hard to find here in Malaysia, I'm not even kidding! But I guess you could check out the higher end brands because they usually do have heat protectants. Try searching the hair department in Sephora, they might have some. But the cost will be higher which is a turn off.

However, if you don't want to purchase the high end products, you can always try applying any hair lotion(preferably thick texture like the herbal essence leave in conditioner) before you apply any heat because it might work too. My friend applies heat to her hair almost everyday and it seems to work on her hair. It didn't work for me though. So I guess you can always try that if you want :)

Back in the days when I was a newbie in hair straightening I used a lil drop of olive oil before running the iron, it worked but yeah, was wondering if there are any other options. Thanks tho :)

Oh really? Olive oil? I'm gonna try that if I run out of my heat protectants! Hehe :)
